Mobile Sawmilling Site Requirements
Low impact, on site sawmilling with a Peterson Portable Sawmill can deal effectively with logs up to:
5 ft diameter x 20 ft length
And produce timber up to:
8” x 8” beams
Planks and boarding can be produced to meet the most demanding requirements.
Sites need to be a minimum of 25ft x 25ft, reasonably level, clear and firm terrain.
Logs should be on 6” bearers, clean (no debris, nails, stones, barbed wire, etc.).
Tooth damage resulting from log debris will be charged.
Access to a forklift & operator increases sawmill productivity and is welcomed
