Mobile Sawmilling Site Requirements

Low impact, on-site sawmilling with a Peterson Portable  Sawmill can deal with logs of up to 1.5m in diameter and  6m in length producing timber up to a maximum of 20cm x 20cm beams.

Planks and boarding can also be easily produced to the most exacting requirements.

The minimum site area should be 7.5m x 7.5m, reasonably level, clear and firm.

Timber to be milled should be clean (no debris, nails, stones, barbed wire etc.). Tooth damage resulting from log debris will be charged.

Access to a forklift & operator increases productivity and is always very welcome.
